Artist Statement

The  Nature of Nature In her debut exhibition, the artist explores the intricate systems and subtle beauty of Australian flora through impressionist techniques. Using watercolour, ink, and acrylic on canvas and paper, she conveys a deep sense of connection and respect for the natural world. Gentle gestures and layered textures draw attention to overlooked moments in nature, encouraging viewers to slow down, observe & find joy in nature.

Artist Bio

Andrea Fitzgerald (Fitz) paints not to escape the world, but to reimagine it. Her practice is grounded in a deep belief that beauty, joy, and human connection can coexist with challenge and chaos. Through her work, she reminds us that while life can be difficult, it should never steal our ability to appreciate the good, and the quiet thrill of creating.

Each piece she creates is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to see something uniquely personal. Viewers are encouraged to find their own meaning in the work whether that’s a moment of peace, a spark of joy, or a reminder of their own resilience. Above all, her hope is that her art offers strength: to push back against the noise, to reclaim joy, and to hold onto it not just for a moment, but for good.
