Calling for Artists: Midsumma 2027
Red Gallery is thrilled to announce a call out for solo and group exhibition proposals as part of Midsumma Festival 2027. Following the wonderful response to our 2026 Midsumma exhibitions, we are excited to continue this annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ artists and are seeking three artists to exhibit from 13–24 January 2027, launching our 2027 exhibition calendar.
We invite emerging, mid-career, and established artists working across all mediums including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, collage, textiles, digital art, performance and installation. To submit proposals that celebrate the richness, diversity, and vibrancy of queer creativity. Whether your practice is contemporary, traditional, or experimental, we welcome authentic and engaging bodies of work that explore identity, connection, belonging and the many ways queer stories are expressed through art.
