Connie is an Australian contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional and sensory power of paint, developed over thirty-eight years since migrating from Hong Kong to Melbourne. She has exhibited since 2020.  She has earned a Master of Contemporary Art degree from the Victoria College of Art, University of Melbourne, and received the Endeavour Australia Award.

Connie’s practice emerges abstract, with expressive gestures and colours that reflect sensory and emotional signals. They all come together as the artwork.

Inspired and influenced by artists Tony Smibert AM, Judith White and Jackson Pollock, her aim is for her brush strokes to become an emotional dance that resonates on the surface of the canvas to engage her viewers’ senses with unpredictable moods and feelings that create a limitless sense of the sublime that opens to self-reflection.
