Mark Edgoose - Our Past is Present

MARK EDGOOSE is a Naarm/Melbourne based craftsperson, artist and academic. His work has been shown nationally and internationally in major exhibitions. Curatorial projects, conferences, workshops and making production works adds to his significant contribution to Australian object-making.  Edgoose’s practice works at the intersections of craft, design and architecture, his obsessive material-driven research is fuelled by an interest in the metaphor of objects using traditional, biological and hi-tech materials.  Edgoose completed his PhD in 2015 and is currently Studio Leader, Jewellery and Material Practice, Material Assembly (MatA) Lead in the School of Art RMIT University, and Honoree Associate, Museums Victoria.
