Continuing a conceptual journey over time, an ongoing visual discourse... a focus on the significance of sites, ecology, environment and the poetic presence of water. Adding to our current local experience of extreme weather events and the impacts on global climate change.'

Artist Bio

Dr Colleen Morris has exhibited regularly in solo and group exhibitions in Australia and has been represented in several international exhibitions, with an art practice encompassing painting, photography, eco-art installations, and sound.  Her work is focused primarily on water-related matters, water paths, rivers, and relevant environmental issues. As metaphors for the memory of place, and the significance of the site, they also indicate the aesthetic and poetic aspects linked with the presence of water.

Dr Phil Edward is a multidisciplinary artist whose background is in painting. Over the last three decades, his works have also included installations, performances, photography, and sound works. He is very interested in collaborative practice and has made over 30 artist music CDs and numerous video and film pieces.

Peter Clarke has an impressive exhibition history, exhibiting in numerous solo and group exhibitions internationally, interstate, and in Victoria. His works are held in major collections in Australia, including NGV Victoria, NGA Canberra, AGNSW Sydney, and other Australian Regional Art Galleries. Early periods of his work were strongly influenced by Spanish painting; subsequent larger, more colourful works demonstrated an increased freedom of gesture and fluid space.

Augusta Zeeng has been engaged in diverse visual and literary creative projects for years; she has exhibited with this group at RED Gallery in Ancient Waters 2016, Droplets 2017, Atmospheres 2018, and Atmospheres Part 2 2019.

Sophia Szilagyi has an Honors Fine Art and Printmaking degree from RMIT. A practicing artist since the early 1990s, Sophia Szilagyi works predominantly in digital printmaking. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia. Her work is held in major collections around Australia, including The National Gallery of Western Australia, The City of Yarra and Whitehorse Collections, Artbank, the State Library of Victoria, and the Queensland University of Technology Art Museum.
