I C O N O C L A S M:  assertively rejecting institutions and their related values and practices. In this body of work, Melbourne mixed media Artist Aster Denisenko offers a humanistic, modern retrospective depicting well known stories from Christianity using a fusion of stylised realism merged with abstracted elements. Known for her use of light reactive multifaceted treatment of acrylic, Aster has additionally incorporated specific reflective surfaces, the viewer seeing themselves in figures depicted symbolising the conditioning of religion.
