Louise Gresswell

SWELL

Louise Gresswell's assemblage based works on paper, intermediates the delicateness of the unblemished, and the visible remains of passing time.

Utilising paint and found objects, Gresswell paints, scratches, glues, pins and sews her assemblages, corrresponding to the act of body adornment.  Through this work, Gresswell investigates the possibilities of the perfect and the imperfect  - reviewing the potential ambiguity of these in relation to the notion of beauty.

Louise Gresswell, now a Melbourne based artist, has an honours degree from the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.  Gresswell has exhibited both internationally and in Australia.
